Crytek has announced that it is officially working on a Direct X11 patch for Crysis 2. No details have been announced about the patch, so what to expect from the much wanted compatibility is up in the air.
Let me start off by saying that I was a big fan of Crysis 2. It was a day one buy for me (Xbox 360) and I have no regrets. That being said, after spending some quality time with the game, as much as I was impressed, I see far more potential to be had.
Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 are two of the best shooters of 2011 thus far, both offering jaw dropping visuals and plenty of visceral first person action. With two games of this caliber, it’s only fair to put them side by side to see who comes out on top.
Crysis 2 is the latest and greatest first person shooter to have been released in 2011, and recent sales numbers indicate that the game is most popular on the Xbox 360. According to the sales figures the Xbox 360 accounts for 57% of the total sales for the game in its first week.
