PlayStation VR Exclusive Summer Lesson English Release Date Revealed

by | @DJamesSC | on March 25, 2017

PlayStation VR launched last October around the world and like most launches, there were some games that were exclusive to Japan. One of those games was the much talked about Summer Lesson, which was since announced as getting an English release in Asia and now we have a release date for that version.

Summer Lesson became a topic of discussion around the launch of PSVR for a few reasons. The game is said to be one of the most immersive VR games, but the whole teaching a school girl thing definitely led to some creepy stuff online. While not risque like Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, this one seems to be following the same path as that game by getting an English release in Asia, which is not that far away.

As revealed by Bandai Namco in a press release, Summer Lesson will be getting its English release in Asia on April 27 as Summer Lesson: Miyamoto Hikari. The game will not be dubbed in English or anything, but it will have English subtitles unlike the Japanese release.

Bandai Namco also revealed that the physical Package Bundle Edition will include the main game, as well as the DLC. Summer Lesson: Seven Days Room is the main game, along with the first DLC pack Second Feel, the second DLC pack Day Out. In addition, it will also have Extra Scene: Cafe and Extra Scene: Grand Fireworks, which both include a new costume and situation.

Thanks to the PS4 being region free, those in the West should have little trouble getting this game. You can either import the game directly from Asia, such as from a retailer like PlayAsia, or you can create an account for a country in that region and purchase it digitally. The latter may require some steps to do so, but it isn’t all that difficult.
