Ni no Kuni II Delayed to January 2018

| @JoseBelmonte | 2 weeks ago

Bandai Namco has announced via Twitter that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, the charming RPG coming to PS4 and PC, will delay its release until January 19th, 2018, instead of its original November date. In the video posted by the company, the CEO and President of LEVEL-5, Akihiro Hino explains that the project needs more time of development in order to fulfill the vision they want to offer to the fans.

Additionally, Hino also clarifies that the game will not include any multiplayer content, clearing up a controversy created during last E3. Hino explains that he misunderstood a question during an interview, thinking that the interviewer was asking about online content in general, like announcements of in-game events. Hino finishes the video announcement showing his gratitude for all the nominations that the game received from the international media during E3.

Ni no Kuni II is an RPG with a gorgeous art style that introduces real-time combats instead of the turn-based battles of the original entry. The art direction benefits from having some former Sudio Ghibli artists among the team. You can read our impressions on the E3 demo.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will release on PS4 and PC on January 19th, 2018.
