The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D

UPDATE: Gamestop is now taking additional pre-orders in a new bundle that includes the strategy guide. You can order it by clicking here. While this may be pricey, it is less than what the limited edition is going for currently on eBay. They have already sold out, along with Amazon Canada. Nintendo has confirmed that the release will be exclusive to Gamestop, Amazon, and Fry’s, so check your local stores and keep checking online if you want to be sure to get one.

Today’s announcement of the limited edition release of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D came as a surprise to most since North American is usually passed over for special releases like this. However, it looks like most gamers will still go wanting as pre-orders for the game have opened at two major retailers and were quickly gone. Gamestop and Amazon have both put the game up for sale and had their stock disappear in less than an hour. A few popped up again, likely due to cancellations, but now it seems to be final as both stores have yet to have any for sale in some time.

The only hope left for fans of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask are to try in-store pre-orders or to keep checking other possible retailers. Best Buy, for example, has yet to open pre-orders although it isn’t certain that they will offer the limited edition at this time. Intrepid gamers should keep an eye out and check with their local stores to see if they can snag one, otherwise it will likely become a much higher price through eBay.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Limited Edition contains a copy of the regular game for Nintendo 3DS as well as a speical Skull Kid figurine made especially for this release. No official release date is set for the game, which is exclusive to the 3DS, but the current launch window is Spring 2015. Keep checking back here for more info as the game gets closer to release, and let us know in the comments if you were lucky enough to grab a limite edition.
