TERA PS4 Xbox One announcement

Free to play MMO TERA will be coming to consoles this year, as En Masse Entertainment has announced today that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game originally launched for the PC in 2012 before converting to a free to play model in 2013, and the free to play version is what will be coming to consoles.

The game has garnered over 25 million registrations since its launch in 2012, and despite featuring controller support its control scheme and UI have been reworked to make the game a better fit on consoles. En Masse Entertainment CEO Sam Kim said the following:

“The past five years of TERA have been fantastic. We have an amazing and ever-growing player base on PC and we can’t wait to share TERA with a brand new audience on consoles. Everyone at En Masse Entertainment and Bluehole is putting an incredible amount of effort into making sure that console players have the best TERA experience possible, and can enjoy the wide range of content the game has to offer.”

The game is known for featuring action-heavy combat that sets it apart from many other MMOs, with the game’s world featuring four continents and over 80 zones. There are also seven different races, ten character classes and plenty of character customization options.

To go along with the announcement of the game coming to consoles is the announcement of an upcoming beta, which you can sign up for on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One by clicking right here. There’s currently no news on when this beta will actually kick off, but more information is expected to be coming soon.

TERA does not have a release date on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, but a 2017 release is confirmed. An announcement trailer for the console versions was also released, which you can check out below.
