Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Bandai Namco has announced that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will arrive on the Nintendo Switch in the Americas and Europe on September 22.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has been available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC since October 2016, and even though Bandai Namco expressed plans to release a new version once the Switch arrived, there was no word on precisely when fans could expect the game to arrive. Fortunately, that wait is over now and it will be worth it for eager fans. Not only is this new version available for Switch owners (obviously), but it also features a few new features unavailable on other platforms.

The first two of these features revolve around multiplayer. First, players can use use individual Joy-Con controllers to play with a friend locally. Second, up to six people can play at once via local multiplayer, but more than one Switch console will be needed to execute this.

The final feature, and probably the most interesting, is the presence of motion controls. Remember when you were a kid and you used to have fun pretending you were Goku (or any other DBZ character) by making the same motions they do when executing a major attack? Through the use of the Joy-Con, not only can you imitate those motions once more, but attacks like the Kamehameha and Spirit Bomb will actually come out when you do.

Outside of the Americas and Europe, Japan is also slated to get a Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on September 7. Though a release date has been announced, Bandai Namco has yet to mention a price or if it has plans to release a Special Edition or Season Pass.
