One of the great things about the PS Vita is its ability to deliver high quality gaming experiences to fans on the go. That being said, an integral piece of the puzzle for Sony with the PS Vita is the delivery of digital titles to players on the go. With less costs associated with digital distribution, many assumed that PS Vita games delivered digitally would cost less, and those assumptions are right.
Sony confirmed that PS Vita games that are delivered via the mobile PlayStation Network will cost less than those that are bought at retailers. The company hasn’t revealed any concrete pricing information, but according to a recent spotting by NeoGAF members, digital versions of PS Vita games could cost as much as 10% less than their physical counterparts.
Offering consumers a nice discount, plus the added convenience of digital downloads will be a nice nudge by Sony to get PS Vita consumers to stray from their favorite retailers into the waiting arms of the PlayStation Store.
