While we enjoyed Mass Effect Andromeda for the most part, it’s no secret that Bioware’s latest entry in the popular sci-fi series is riddled with problems, from facial animations to some pretty bizarre bugs. Now the developer is announcing plans to make some crucial fixes and hopefully win back some fans turned off by the game.

BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn says there are plans to make fixes in both the near future and a while from now, ranging from a new patch coming out Thursday to address “technical fixes (crashes, improved performance),” to “ongoing improvements” being rolled out over the next two months. Those include giving people more options in character creation, making improvements to all of the characters’ hair and general appearance, improving some cinematic scenes and animations, and improving the male romance options for Scott Ryder.

Other short-term fixes coming Thursday include letting you skip ahead when traveling between planets in the galaxy map (thank you, God), improving the look of the eyes of human and asari characters, increasing inventory limits, improving the multiplayer mode’s matchmaking, and fixing Ryder’s movements when running in a zig-zag pattern. If you don’t know what that last one means, just take a look:

Bioware goes into much more detail in the Patch Notes, but the big takeaway here is that the team behind the game is listening, and wants to make Mass Effect Andromeda better not just for the fans who bought it at launch, but hopefully wooing potential buyers who were scared off by some of the negative coverage the game has received.

Flynn adds that in addition to all of the fixes, they’ll be making some additions to the APEX multiplayer missions like new maps, weapons, and characters, and will also kick off part one of a three-part event called “The Remnant Investigation” when the patch lands Thursday.

Do these fixes make you feel better about Mass Effect Andromeda? Are there other problems you think need to be addressed?
