Activision has revealed their lineup of games that will be playable for E3 attendees, which includes Call of Duty: WW2, Destiny 2, and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. When it came to describe the latter’s presence in the South Hall Lobby, the company urged visitors to take a picture with Crash Bandicoot himself, and to stay alert on a special announcement related to the series that will be made during the videogame fair, which has quickly sparked massive speculation from the fanbase.
The exact segment of the press release referring to the announcement is: “The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is available for preorder now, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a special Crash announcement during E3!”
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is a remake of the iconic trilogy of games released on the original PlayStation. Through various gameplay videos, Activision has proved their attention to detail and respect for the design of the games, which has earned the project a high level of expectation for its upcoming release on June 30th for PS4.
This special annoncement could be related to many things, from some sort of extra content for the game to a demo version released worldwide on PSN. However, another option that seems extremely popular within the fanbase is the possibility of a Crash Team Racing remake in the same style of the original trilogy. That rumor has been reinforced recently by the words of a developer acknowledging that the team is aware of the strong desire among fans for a remake of the racing game, and her good disposition in working on a new Crash Bandicoot game after N. Sane Trilogy is released.
Whatever the announcement actually turns out to be, we will sure be vigilant and inform about it as soon as it happens.
